Skate Agora

Project developed at Solo.

The identity won a Gold Laus award for the series of typographic, scalar and flexible posters designed using Druk typeface.

Skate Agora is a public square entirely dedicated to skateboarding. Designed by California Skateparks, the world leader in skateparks construction, it is the first in Europe approved by Street League Skateboarding and prepared to host international competitions.

To create the visual identity of Skate รgora, we chosen a graphic based on the language of street posters. We used different typographic weights in a very natural and intuitive way, in addition to an unrestricted use of colour. The result is an unusual and flexible graphic system which provides a notable impact when applied to different corporate pieces.

Street posters are the main communication format as they connects directly with the spirit of the whole urban tribe who ride a board.
